Job Description:
Sky Quest Aviation LLC has an opening for FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) Mechanic in Stafford, Virginia. Applicants must have a minimum of Five (5) years’ experience working as an A&P mechanic on rotary-wing aircraft and returning them to service by exercising the privileges of his/her A&P certificate. Rotary wing experience must include returning civil/general aviation helicopters to service by exercising their A&P certificate. Bell 429 experience is preferred; however, the Bell 204/205, 412, 407 or similar aircraft may be substituted as long as the applicant can justify 5-years recent experience using his/her A&P. In addition to the Bell requirement, applicants with UH-60M helicopter experience is desired; however, experience utilizing the A&P certificate and FAA processes to return Bell aircraft to service is critical.
Individuals selected for this position will be responsible for maintaining aircraft and performing associated ground support tasks. The A&P mechanic/technician will perform their duties in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals/procedures, inspection bulletins, and applicable regulations; whereas the UH-60 platform will be maintained in accordance with US Army maintenance manuals/standards and documented in accordance with the ULLS-A(E) program.
The A&P will be responsible for timely and accurate completion of required forms, records and reports relative to the maintenance, modifications, service or repairs being performed.

Applicants must meet ALL of the requirements listed below:
- Must possess an Active Secret Clearance – No Exceptions
- Valid A&P certificate
- US Citizen – No Exceptions
- Valid US Passport, or the ability to obtain a US Passport within the standard processing times
- Experience on Bell and Sikorsky aircraft
- Sheet Metal or Avionics experience a plus
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a licensed A&P mechanic on civil rotary-wing aircraft
- Must have 6 months experience inspecting, servicing and maintaining aircraft systems within the past 2 years
Salary Range: 46.00/hr-52.45/hr
